Sri Lanka Women thrashed Scotland by 10 wickets in the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup Qualifier match played at the Sheikh Zayed Stadium, Abu Dhabi on Saturday (27).

Having won the toss, Sri Lanka Women opted to bowl first, where they restricted the Scotland Women’s inning to 94 runs as they were all out at the end of 18.2 overs. Sri Lanka’s Kavisha Dilhari bagged 4 wickets for 13 runs, while Inoshi Priyadharshani picked up 3 wickets for 11 runs.

Chasing the 95 runs scored by the opponents, Sri Lanka’s decisive victory was fueled by a powerful batting display of veteran Chamari Athapattu as she smashed a half-century. She added 59 runs to Sri Lanka’s scorecard in just 35 deliveries.
