Q. What are the strategies that you have adopted when servicing rural communities?
As a company dealing mostly with the grassroots level community, We have aligned our distribution and service strategies accordingly. We were the first insurance company to introduce a doorstep premium collection service on a daily basis at a very affordable price. This was a game-changer in the microinsurance industry, where we were able to convince a significant number of people to get their lives and businesses insured with us.
Insurance is still known to be a luxury product for rural communities. We were able to change that perception by conducting awareness-building sessions on risk mitigation for those people in need of Insurance. Entrepreneurs who engaged in Small and Medium Businesses were strengthened by various capacity-building seminars and workshops as they are the bloodline of this community.
Our current objective is to empower these people to survive in the new normal by introducing digital and online technology solutions for their business activities.
